Loops of images show the developement of the meteorological phenomena. There are possibities to go through them manually (back and forth) or automatically.
To open the loops, click on the film icon or the text describing the loop above or below the image.
Note that the buttons for handling the loops are below the images; consequently some scrolling might be necessary on small screens.
The basic satellite imagery is from Meteosat; therefore the channels used are VIS, IR and WV. Channels of NOAA AVHRR are considered and supplemented as a pre-evaluation for the future MSG (Meteosat Second Generation) channels.

The Manual was developed on workstations using 18" screens with 1280x1024 resolution. While this will give the best result, 17" screens with 1024x768 resolution is the recommended minimum.
Browser
The Manual is designed to operate on Internet Explorer 5.5 upward and Netscape Navigator 6.0 upward. Older generations of browsers are not supported.
