- Narrow cloud fibres connecting different conceptual models undergo elongation
- Lengthening of the cloud fibre at both ends in different directions
- Tearing off within the cloud fibre (saddle point in wind field)
- Gradual dissipation of remaining cloudiness
- Typical areas:
- Northern boundary of Warm Front and Occlusion cloud bands
- Areas between a row of cloud spirals (Commas and/or mesoscale Occlusion systems)
