Discussion

TPW, RR, CLW, and atmospheric soundings are generated routinely and considered operational products for both NOAA and DMSP satellites. While the retrieval of cloud ice content may be possible, it is currently not a derived product. Ocean surface wind speed is an operational product for DMSP with the SSM/I, but still under development for the AMSU.
