Compare details of the moisture plume stretching from 25N/180W to the Washington coast in both AMSU and model TPW fields. It appears that the AVN has a slightly better handle on moisture advection into the CWA than the Eta model. Both position and timing of the moisture maximum appear better matched between the AMSU and AVN TPW fields.
