Here we focus on the timing of the snow event over the Spokane CWA.

Radar data composites show the ending of light orographic snowfall over the eastern CWA by 09 Z on 2 February as short wave #1 exits the region. As short wave #2 approaches the CWA from the west, however, more substantial snowfall begins over much of the CWA by 10:30 Z. The Eta is showing significant precipitation still over the CWA continuing into the 18-00 Z time period.
