· GOES sounding data are derived for individual 5 x 5 FOV groupings. This yields an average spacing for sounding products of about 50 km.
· Between 2000 and 3000 soundings are produced each hour for GOES-8 and -10 over the CONUS, Western Pacific, and Eastern Atlantic.
