If you are interested in receiving a customer notification of TRaP products for your area of interest and wish to review the customer sign-up information, please contact one of the individuals listed below.

Information about TRaP will then be e-mailed to you for you to review. If you wish to sign up at that point, signing up is easy. Simply respond back with an e-mail message and you will be put on a customer e-mail notification list so you can immediately start retrieving TRaP products for the area in which you are interested.

FTP Access to Digital TRaP Products

When a TRaP is made available on the Internet, a customer is immediately notified with an e-mail message about the new TRaP for their area of interest. Shown below is a message similar to the one received by customers in real time.

Upon receiving the notification message, a customer can go to the indicated FTP site and download TRaP output in one of three available formats: McIDAS AREA format, ASCII text, or GIF.

McIDAS users should access the first line (.24.Z), a Unix-compressed tar file in McIDAS AREA format.
AWIPS and other users interested in a text format should access the second line (.txt.Z), a Unix-compressed tar file.
Users interested in a pre-formatted graphic file can access the third line (.GIF). This file is a GIF-formatted graphic similar to what is posted on the TRaP homepage.
