An image product that approximates reflected energy at 3.9 microns is now shown in the bottom left panel.
As shown in the top left panel, by equating the 10.7 micron channel brightness temperature, T(b)10.7 with the 3.9 micron channel emitted brightness temperature T(b) emit 3.9, the reflected radiance at 3.9 microns can be derived.
The reflected radiance image product shows reflective water clouds as bright white and poorly reflective ice clouds and snow as dark gray shades.
