In this region with rather uniform surface brightness, only minor detail is seen when the dark end is enhanced. However, the shadows from some clouds are apparent. Notice in this image late in the day, that shadows from cumulus are closer to the obstructing cloud than shadows from higher cirrus clouds.

• Notice how well the development and evolution of clouds can be observed in one-minute interval imagery.
• Both cirrus and cumulus clouds are easy to track using one-minute interval imagery.
