As the mid-ranges are enhanced, contrast between cloud and ground becomes very distinct. In certain situations such as the one shown, mid-range enhancement provides little additional information.

• Notice how well the development and evolution of clouds can be observed in one-minute interval imagery.
• Both cirrus and cumulus clouds are easy to track using one-minute interval imagery.
