Vertical profiles of moisture and temperature are useful when assessing the three-dimensional structure of various features as seen in 6.7 micron imagery. This example shows a water vapor image (right) with vertical cross sections of temperature and mixing ratio (left) and temperature and humidity (middle). A line representing the coverage of the vertical cross sections is drawn on the image and extends from San Diego, California to Shreveport, Louisiana.
